Located in the prestigious Garneau neighbourhood with old growth trees.This is perfect for professionals, performers, students, travelers visiting University of Alberta, University of Alberta Hospital, Jubiliee Auditorium. You are a short walk to the desirable Whyte Ave. area with street and night life and close 2 train (LRT) stations for quick (10 mins) access to downtown and popular Southgate Mall. It was a comfortable, warm and dry place to stay while visiting the university. The owner and her daughter and soon to be daughter in law are conscientious and helpful and people have stated that they have enjoyed conversations with us and our other, longer-term houseguests, UofA grad students from other interesting parts of the world. You will have no trouble walking to on-campus meetings and will find that the student-rental-oriented neighbourhood of older family homes to be safe and quiet. There was even easy access to the river trail system, where you may felt like taking up hiking "in the wild", but safe enough for joggers, cyclists, and grandmothers out for their daily exercise. All in all a great, affordable way to stay close to campus.
