I’m just throwing this out there to see if anyone might be interested. I have a beautiful finished basement that I’m thinking of renting/leasing out, if I can find the right person. The photos I’ve attached show what the rooms looked like when I bought the house. It’s a nice dry basement that tends to be a bit cool. You’d have a beautiful bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Double closet + a dresser. There is a full bathroom with access from your bedroom & the hallway. The main living area has lots of comfy seating & a wet bar. There’s a bar fridge & a multi-function toaster oven. I have full-sized appliances, including a washer & dryer, that you can use when needed. There is NO separate entrance so you’d have to come in through the front door & walk down my hall to get to the basement stairs. I would also have to walk through your living space to get to the furnace room & my storage room. I have 2 dogs. They’re great with other dogs & cats so I don’t mind if you have a house-trained friendly dog or cat. A bonus is that I will watch your pet while you’re away during the day or whatever. The backyard is fenced for the dogs & I would ask that you give me a hand keeping it clean. This is only a one bedroom rental but I’d be willing to consider an adult & child situation if needed. This basement was finished by the builders & has egress windows & I’ve recently replaced the carbon monoxide/smoke alarm. No smoking or vaping in the house. There’s a back porch & a garage if you need a puff. I have a hot tub that you’re welcome to use, with permission. There are 2 parking spaces in the driveway. Unfortunately we don’t have public transit in this area yet so you’re going to need a car. All utilities, free wi-fi & cable tv are included. You’d also have all of your linens, dishes & utensils. NOTE that I will need a $250 deposit to cover any cleaning or repairs needed after you move out. If you’ve left things clean & in good repair I will refund the deposit. I thought it would be nice to rent the space to a student with a 10 month lease for $750 per month. Parent or guardian must co-sign the lease. Regardless of who I leased it to, I’m sure you’ll understand that I’ll need a criminal background check & a couple of references. The house is near Maitland & Highway 62 area. Just north of the 401 & Walmart in North Belleville. Please let me know if you think this space would interest anyone.
